cam angle sensor / crank angle sensor. ------ since cam angle sensor is in the code i would get a new one and see if problems resolved. its about $65 i think and not hard to install. Follow the mitsu guide when installing it so its in proper time. ( edit prob don't even need to remove the actual plates inside, just put on new sensor)

http://www.google.com/products?q=cam...evo&hl=en&aq=f

misfires will certainly occur when the cam sensor blacks out.

btw its not the crank angle sensor - when this sensor goes bad the car will not start up.. it receives no spark period.

It could be a crank angle sensor still. When my crank walked the car would stall with the clutch pressed in for about a week. Then it would get progressively worse. The car would start here and there then finally gave out. I would replace it just to cross one more thing off the list.

check your iacv little harness off of the intake manifold. Myn was loose and it fixed a similar issue.
