ACD to non-ACD T-Case

Alright so I'm about to pull my T-case out for a slight rebuild. what parts do I need from an 03-04 T-case to convert mine to non-ACD?

Might as well sell yours and get a Non-ACD case, it would be cheaper. I'm not too sure non-acd parts would work in an ACD case. I just swapped cases, sold my ACD case, pulled the line and pump off, etc.

Weight, risk of ACD pump failures (which could result in T-case damage), room for more components like IC piping, and most people don't notice it anyways. I know I never noticed it.

you need the viscous coupler and hat from the 03-04 TC

- Replace the acd clutch packs with the viscous coupler, place the lsd in the carrier and change the acd hat for the 03-04 hat.

That is a basic run down from what I was told by english racing....it can be converted.

I plan to have mine converted but im going to pull my current tc and send both my spare 03-04 case to shep and have him do it and re-shim everything to his specs + the additional mods he does to his TC builds. My ACD case has a good ring/pinion and the LSD - the 03-04 case i have has the hat and VC i need so I figured going that route im going to have a shep built tc in the process.

to me its just another thing to break and at 67k miles i have had (1) acd pump failure and looks like the new pump I had installed at 59k is starting to go bad, 3 lights intermittently come on again.

figured in the end i free up some space, shave some weight and get a much simpler setup and less headache. Also why i plan to convert the car to non-abs as well - time to make life simple.
