What for? To see if there are any small gains in power? Not really worth a dyno test for such an insignificant mod really. Might help flow just a little, but 2.5" piping is basically the same as the next 2.5" piping. It really comes down to which look the best, fit the best, and have the best price. I like ETS piping.

HKS IC pipes are over priced and not all that special. Do yourself and invest in some real pipes like BR or ETS.

main reason i ask is because the hks pipeing isn't 2.5" its 60mm, im curious to know how much of a difference that would make?

It's probably smaller than the stock TB. Don't waste the money (unless you want to save on shipping seeing as your in the UK). The best intercooler pipe set IMO is the ETS set. They have the highest flowing lower intercooler pipe and it IS dyno proven for gains.

well the 2 lower pipes are 60mm then the upper pipe tappers into what i think is 2.5". Yea as im in the uk i the hks kit is pretty much a standard item over here and are easyly and widely available. Thats mainly why i was looking for dyno comparisons to see if it was actually worth going from the hks kit to a 2.5" kit

Has anyone got any experiences of the short route ETS piping?

Does it make a difference? Does it reduce lag?

I have an ets short route piping. spool up definately was faster. I like the way its routed further away from the engine to keep heat away. I also have the ets licp, both are awesome pieces.

15ish hp, a lot better spool up. Taken from ETS website:

The ETS Evo Piping kit is designed to eliminate many of the unnecessary bends in the stock piping. Our complete piping kit starts off by immediately expanding into 2.5" right off of the turbo elbow. This replaces the tiny 1 3/4" factory pipe and instantly adds an extra 15hp and greatly improves spool. From here it follows the core support and wraps around to the intercooler. Once the air passes through the intercooler, the piping takes a short direct path around the core support, over the transmission and straight up to the throttle body. This unique routing is over two feet shorter than the stock routing which results in greatly improved spool.
