Tial 50mm Q Recirc? *check this out*

Hey all,

I am trying to go back to recirc after purchasing the evo with the tial 50mm VTA. I haven't seen this particular one on the Tial website; therefore, my conclusion is that it is custom fabrication. My question is would this be worth purchasing?

The thing is that it would cost over $250 for putting another BOV on the UICP. I don't want to purchase another Buschur UICP cuz it would cost the same amount as fabrication on the one I currently have.

Any input would be great thanks.

just got off the phone with the people selling it, they said that it JUST came out this year from Tial. I am SO freaking excited now I don't have to worry about replacing UICP or custom fab for going back to recirc!

It's about time TiAl made it a recirculating one besides the other TiAl(Bong lookalike). This one looks way better.

Besides the looks of this TiAL 50mm recirc, how is this different than the TiAL 50mm Alpha Q recirc (Bong look-a-like)? It seems function and specs are the same. Both require you to weld a flange to your UICP.

I can't speculate on how the "Bong" Alpha Q is. I tried to purchase it, but it has been in backorder for MONTHS...but now I found out about this I jumped on it. In about a week I should have the pics and vids uploaded on here.

Which spring did you choose?
0 to -7 in/HG (or supercharger) use 3 PSI Spring (Pink)
-8 to -11 in/HG use 6 PSI Spring (Black)
-12 to -15 in/HG use 8 PSI Spring (White)
-16 to -19 in/HG use 10 PSI Spring (Silver)
-20 to -21 in/HG use 11 PSI Spring (Purple)
I think the Evo idles between 9-11 psi vacuum

Make sure you specify it's for an Evo. I got an earlier version with a 1" outlet instead of a 1.5" and had to send it back to Tial for them to switch the parts.

I have the 11 psi spring on my TiAL Alpha Q BOV (Bong)... Evo IX MR. Do you have a boost pressure gauge? Should be able to read your boost pressure gauge at idle to figure out which spring to order. Also, I recommend talking to the tech support from the company you're planning to order from... Extreme PSI, ATP Turbo, MAP Performance, etc. Most companies will recommend which spring to order for your setup.

These are pretty nice! We should have them added to our online catalog within the week.

what do you mean about the 1.5" outlet? Why should it be 1.5? Is it because of the size of the nipple on your intake?

Evo's/1g DSM's have a 1.34" recirc port, most other cars that use the bosch bpv have a 1" port.

we make both sizes for the QR so you will need to specify what you have at time of order

another interesting bit about the unit, if you ever go speed density or MAP you can purchase just the bottom part of the Q BOV and convert to a VTA bov.

F ME! So if the 1" was shipped then I need to return it for the 1.34"? Even with the Buschur Intake System? Or can I have someone Fab some pipe to fit?
