first gear whine
yeah i just experience this when i bought this 03 evo 8 last week ,with 70 k miles
i put penzoil syncromesh in it, felt better , but whine is still at 1st 2nd and a little in the others, havent flush out the tcase yet , is there anything in autozone i can use thats good for the t case?

Yea we all know. If you search gear whine you'll will return plenty of good info.
To summerize low speed gear whine is 100% normal in these cars 1rst and 2nd mostly and your hearing the trans likely not the TC. It's when you get a whine that increases with speed that your TC is the issue.
