HDI Intercooler

HYBRID DEVELOPMENT INTERNATIONAL

I was wondering if anyone has this intercooler or has seen testing on it? I did a search and didnt find anything. Hope someone can help. Here is a link about there intercoolers.

Looks good. Never heard of them though. I'd probably give it a shot.

I already got one, for a good deal. He said it was sold to him by AMS, so we will see how it holds up. Its from the country down under.....

The only reason I'd shy from a Tube and Fin is the damage they take from the road is far greater then a Bar and Plate

You can always protect it, but besides that any other down falls?

If it's the same comany I am thinking of, Hybrid Power is an Australian company whose parts may be manufactured in Asia. This may have changed since they first came n my radar. I know that many people have had great results with them on both SR20DET, RB, and KA engines. Back when I had my SR swapped 240 and had a Blitz FMIC, I remember wishing I had saved some money and gotten one of those since people were seeing similar results. While I don't think they are quite as high quality as Garrett and some other top quality cores, they do perform well and are definitely better than the standard eBay Chinese cores.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a properly designed and constructed, high quality tube and fin core. If anything, a high quality tube and fin core often beats a bar and plate core, unless the bar and plate core is very high quality.
