not really.
turbo back exhaust
better bov (that you can recirculate)
bigger injectors
bigger fuel pump
manual boost controller
licp
bigger fmic
intake
= 400 easy on a evo
you can probably do it on stock fmic + pipes as well.
the factory seal on the head has proven to be 500hp+ efficient.
the oem timing belt is fine as well. you dont need monster builds
like we both have Rock to get high HP.

I don't know...... this was to long ago to remember. SBR ported it. and single scroll yes. i believe they were rated for 550cfm like 46lb/min max. the most i ever seen was 40lb/min and allowed for mid/ high 11's. back then i thought i was so fast, now it seems i have twice the setup and never happy ..... wtf? seems the more hp you make the greedier you become to wanting more.

this reminds me of one of the dumbest things thats ever happened to me with one of my dsm's. I had this boost issue where the car would refuse to boost past 15psi and i couldn't figure it out, so i was so mad i took the car on the backroads here and just drove it through the cornfields and since it was so bouncy it knocked my downpipe loose and instantly i spiked to 30psi ( the max of the gauge) ... so i took the downpipe off and looked inside it and i see this ball of **** just sitting in it mid way in. so i took the car to a exhaust shop and we cut the downpipe in half and it was a SOS pad jammed in my downpipe stopping me from boosting.. talk about retarded.....
back than i was pretty crazy, now im way more laid back, but can you imagine being stuck at 15lbs? lol... i was going nuts.
oh and it was a apexi n1.... apexi = FAIL it dropped to 2" where it got stuck.. that exhaust setup was so restrictive.

^ HOLY **** DUDE! lmao That sounds crazy. I would have been pissed off too. I had a similuar problem but my 3port went bad and I was not boosting till 6k. that made me pretty ticked off. I was running like 100% response and 74 duty trying to get that ***** to boost right. turned out it was just the 3port! cars... gee...
