I want to do it the right way and i dk why everyone blames it on the cams but on kelford web site i do know they highly recommend doing valve springs and retainers with there 272 and 280 cams
Yeah with the motor build and a 35r turbo your 6sp won't last too long

That is some high mileage . First thing pull the head off and check the bore. I usually laugh at anything over 50,000 but we have a car in the shop right now with 90,000 on it that is getting drop ins !?! I was shocked everything checked out with the bore and the crank looks like new. I noticed you are looking for a "budget" h beam , I feel Eagle is the best out there. The Scats hold up ok but are too heavy. We have broken a Manley Hbeam so i will not suggest those to anyone but their I beams are nice . I have not tried the K1 h beams yet so i am not sure. For pistons either Arias with HD pins or JE with HD pins. I am partial to Arias since we have our own piston with them and i have seen them take over 1100 hp in a 4G63. I use to carry Wiseco until i got a set of 1400HD pistons. Wiseco says pistons made in America so why is it that one of the wrist pins was in a wrapper that said made in Taiwan?? I think they must have forgotten to repackage something. Pistons in the USA and wrist pins and rings from where ever??? At least be honest like Eagle and let us know it is made over seas and machined here or something, don't pull a fast one and try to save a few bucks.sorry about the rant but i see lots of guys ***** about eagle and how they only run American and i see Wiseco in their signature i get a chuckle everytime.
