How do I remove Mivec Head from Block ?
What is the easiest way to remove the mivec head from block ? What tools are needed and step-by-step procedure would be very helpfull !

other then the obvious stuff, you need to remove the oil feed line that runs into the large gold mivec solenoid on the backside of the head timing side. I would just leave the cams in it. Why are you removing it?

must be a brave soul to assume you're just going to remove something like your head without knowing anything. figure you're gonna just come on a forum and get a quick guide? good luck with that one. what are you doing?

You have to be very mechanicaly inclined, its not a easy task. You need special tools for the timing belt tensioner and must have torque wrench. Also must be at top dead center before you start the job.
I just put mine back together and started tuning after arp's, head gasket, turbo, yada yada...
I was a mechanic for years and you must know what your doing!
Check out gsc's web site on camshaft install which will have a link to service manual.
