2.0L 11:1 compression Vs 2.1L 10:1 Compression

I wouldn't use either one judging by your signature, actually. I'd use a 2.3 in your car with a Red. Best car I ever built was Project White, 2.3 on the Red, stock ECU, stock MAF, basically stock weight, 10.3's all day long at 138 mph on E85.
Also some interesting opinions on fuel and compression in this thread, not that I agree with them. haha

Lots of places in colorado get real e85, not e70 unless its the winter. Im pretty sure he runs it all the time.
Since dambikeracer hasn't commented yet I know he is going with a FP black and maybe something bigger in the future.
Remember david we race at 5800 Ft above sea level so a 10.3 in ohio might be a 10.8-10.9 here.

Yeah, I forgot Colorado has real gas and it's probably not an issue on decent E85. We get 91 and E70 "because of our altitude", or at least that's what we are told.
Funny though, you guys are 1000' higher...

Thats strange. I wasn't saying your stuff isn't real gas lol its just not e85 that really isn't e85.
It might have something to do with its utah and we know all about utah haha. jk

LOL mike. It does suck but those of us who still like to go fast are always trying to find ways to make up the difference. But then again its why no evo in Colorado has broken into the 9's.
I go fishing sometimes anyway haha.

Colorado also holds no records of any sorts for that reason alone, there are plenty of people who have well built cars but simply have to fight the altitude to win and believe me they lose everytime.

Who knows, could be the track, but numerous SFWD guys locally run 9.6-9.8 up here and 9.3-9.4 in Vegas and lower. They also usually mph around 158-162 and up here the fastest I've seen was 155, but that was on a car that's gone 162 at lower elevation.
Our density altitude is usually around 9000' in the summer.
The funny part, I feel bad for you guys at sea level with no mountains. I'll take bad *** mountains and a slower car over flat boring sea level any day. Now some where like the north west kind of has both and is about the only place I'd consider moving to.

There is a reason why there are such things as "mountain motors".
since there isnt all the air up there, you need to compress what you do have!
There is no repalcement for displacement.......so run as much CR as you can handle imo.
I know that when running in colorado or mexico city, we had to pay special attention to over speeding turbo's too.....they will over-speed since there isnt as much air to compress.......
fwiw - 99% of pikes peak motors have outrageous amounts of CR....you just need good mapping when you get near the top!!
