I'm willing to bet that the "vast majority" of 6 speed owner's barely have a completely bolt on car that wouldn't justify switching to a built 5 speed. This would lead me to believe that there is still a big market for this tranny.

While there have been many that we may have heard, seen or read about doing the 5 speed swap, I don't believe this would be great cause to assume the majority have switched to a 5.

id pay for a beefy 6spd. with the new final drive and the ultimate ratio trans the 6spd would/could hit the same if not better mph than the ams evo did at the texas mile(just not as fast lol) as far as a heat issue wouldnt a trans cooler be very effective(especially for auto-x and road race racing)

Transmission would be track dependent. On my local track, I can only hit 5th gear.

Hard to say about the upgraded oil cooler. Not many threads on them to say one way or another, not to mention someone would need to test on this new setup.

Tranny coolers are being used on both the 6 speed and the 5 speed for smoother shifting and longer transmission life. I'm also starting to see a lot of track guys running double oil cooler set ups.

haha. Not negativity. Just not seeing this come to light at all or for awhile.
I really hope it does come out since I don't want to give up the 6spd.

I stated so many times. If there was a way to have 400whp and a reliable 6spd I'd buy it.

i got both because it's only 1k for a mint 5 speed w/cables through sellers. It's really not as big deal as a t3 turbo kit or some volk te rims and tires. that's more of a decision than the transmission but nobody talks about it that way. sure the 6speed is great but the 5speed has its perks also. regarding the highway drone, there is a revised gear and you can do a hybrid setup etc

I'm running a FP Black and I'm going to find the limits of the 6th gear. I hope it can hold the power long enough to reach 190mph. YES 190. I know Shep is only replacing the 3,4 and 5 and I'll likely send the trans to him when I break this one. I really don't like the way the 5 speed feels be it a Shep or Bushwacker built. I have no expericance with Turbotrix. If I have no choice then I'll put a 5sp with a 4.11.

I called them today and talked to them. Seems the delay right now is that the person who has the new gears in the 6 speed is MIA? This is what the hold up is.

Not surprising. I heard the gears were in a "partners" car and not Shep's. /sigh

There was some guy over on high boost forums claiming he had the Shep 6 speed prototype gears. He also mentioned he was going to be selling his car.

This is all, of course, hearsay.
