I no longer have 6th gear and 5th is on its way out. I emailed Jon@TRE 2 weeks ago, and still no reply.

Any updates on this? I cant wait any longer, very close on pulling the trigger on a 6-5 speed conversion.

When I spoke with Shep today, they mentioned they'll be offering the final drive option. The rep stated results of testing so far have been very positive. However, they will be tearing down and inspecting soon... no firm dates for production yet.

I think this option is going to be a must have for folks like me with a IX MR and 2.3L stroker (+400hp/tq motor).

So what does that mean for us mere mortals without a stroker? What options is Shep going to be offering? Not to hijack the thread, but, what is a good clutch to run with the setup? I'm looking for something that can be daily driven, but will see quite a bit of time on a road course. Currently pushing about 340/336 and looking to make 400 eventually.

^^

Get a Exedy Twin Disc HD for 400whp. I'm running it and around 400whp and it's a great clutch.

You DON'T need a stroker to enjoy the benefits. IMO with more HP/tq from a 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, or 2.4 (anything over ~400 hp), the final gear ratio and possibily other gearing options will be a great benefit for making daily driving, Auto-X, road racing, DE, etc a whole lot more fun, reliable, and enjoyable!

just got an email from Shep today, seems like they are releasing their 6 speed pretty soon.

they are testing the revised 3,4,5th gears and going to offer a 4.09 FD

Im going to hold back on 5speed conversion. Shep 6 speed sounds promising

Thanks for the update!

Did they mention the price? I'm assuming it should be around the same cost as the 5-speed conversion.
