AMS 600hp EVO8 on the street
Well I finally got our car off the dyno and back to AWD mode for the St. Louis Dyno day. Temptation got the better of me and I took it on the street to see how she felt. First of all I was astonished how quickly the turbo spooled and how much power was on tap. A quick shift from 1st to 2nd resulted in all 4 tires lighting up in our parking lot. On the road I went through the gears incredibely quick. From road feel and experience she will go 10's with a good launch. Only bad part was that I got a little too excited and tried doing more 2nd gear burnouts in our parking lot. On the second run something let go under full power in 2nd gear. I tore it apart yesterday and the front diff exploded! I just put in a torsen style limited slip front diff that night when I converted it to AWD. The way a torsen works is that the internal gears bind up against each other and push each other apart to tranfer torque from one end to the other. This action inherently causes diff failure if too much torque is applied. In my case the diff case split in three pieces right along the axis of a few of the side gears. Looks like the stock diff is going back in. Stay tuned for some track results and street runs!

AL, you never took me out...got really hectic there at the end! Although I would imagine yours on C16 would also put out 600, since you pulled 535 on unleaded.
But you gotta watch out for a company that runs 9's in an Evo 2 with a very simple setup. That car is SICK.
