What ROM ID are you using in your swap? I run into those on 2Gs with Evo ECU swaps since the cam sensor/crank sensor isnt the same. The fix we found was using a 1G CAS or a 2GB. I am assuming you dont have an Evo Style sensor?
9653 helped on this as I recall on the car I didnt swap the CAS on, but I really cant recall 100%. As I started looking at the Peripherys between 9694 and 9653 it really seemed that was the only difference. Might give it a shot.

Thats what im thinking too, but wouldnt the car not start if either the crank or camshft position sensor was bad?
I did the timing last night with a new belt didnt help. So its not the timing.

On the 2G ECU swap (my only frame of reference), the sensor doesnt communicate the way the ECU wants to see it and it throws the code but will keep running. I am not sure why this happened all of the sudden though unless its getting some signal intermittently or something else is out of range.
You are right though if the sensor wasnt doing anything it doesnt run in an Evo.

Well i found a couple threads on this and it was mensioned in there that some people got this when there batterys were dieing/dead. Im gonna bring my battery to the part store to get it tested just to eliminate that from being the cause.
This is what i know its not/tested:
Timing/belt
cam sensor
crank sensor
both crank and cam sensor have a good ground
both are getting power
What else could it be?

Ok so now my car wont even start. Im thinking its the crank sensor and it was starting to go and has now bit the dust. F*ckin advance auto said they ordered it yesterday and it would be here today. So i went down there and they didnt have it and said it was never ordered. So now i gotta wait till tomarro to get the crank sensor. I really hope that is the problem.
