Evo 8 Clutch

Hey guys, I'm looking into buying a new clutch because my stock one is slipping quite a bit and I dont want to spend a lot of money, theres just more important things in my life now then spending 1500+install. My car has the mods that are in my signature, now with that said I dont plan on doing much more to it maybe down the road someday, but would I be okay with a exedy oem replacement clutch? There only around 250-300 on ebay from good sellers so I'm not concerned with getting a cheap clutch I just want to know if that'll hold for me? And I plan on getting it tuned as well once the clutch is broken in. And if this clutch would suffice, could it handle a cam upgrade? I'm guessing not but I thought I'd ask you guys since your the experts Thanks

Edit: The Walbro isnt installed btw and the boost is set around 19 right now until I get a new clutch

Yes if your plans in the future don't require high boost or horsepower a OEM clutch style would be fine.

yeah i definitely wouldnt be going over 330, thats kind of where i would stop for sure because the cams would be my last mod, but i wasnt sure if a stock clutch would hold for say 30k miles with that kind of power

exedy single plate clutches are known to have issues

I'd personally recommend an ACT HDSS from my experiences

another option is RRE's "no name" clutch

don't buy stuff from ebay...support the vendors that make this forum possible

you could have found all this info searching
