Does the 65mm throttle body do much? Will a ported exhaust mani help?

if you do the ported t/b by itself will not gain much they you should do the ported intake and ported t/b same time might want to consider a ported exhaust manifold or a Tubular manifold like mona lisa shearers or full race as well.

like rockman said do the ported i/m and tb at the same time or you wont see any gains by doing only one.

Derek (diiirk) made 424 on his old school green (Non-HTA) on straight 93.

360/360 on a mustang is dandy power for the mild mods you have, especially on pump gas. Be happy, and swap out some parts and port the head if you want more! Map stage3 head w/ stock valves, kelford272's, or GSC S2's w/ the basic GSC beehive springs, stock retainers. Ditch that junk FMIC for a CBRD or buschur race, perrin, etc. Get a proper o2 housing on there while you're at it and a MAP Rev2 manifold. 400whp is only a handful of a bunch of different parts away, plus some tuning

Remember, it's all about the combo!

you can get force fed to port your t/b for 65+ shipping give you viturally the same gains as a 65mm t/b then you can pick up a ported intake on the forums usually for like 200-250 shipped so your talking 300 for the combo to get it done

Exhaust and the cams are your biggest hangup. I don't even think the O2 is that big of a deal right now. You will see the biggest gains going with GSC S2's or kelford 272's. Then get a test pipe or just get a a true 80mm TBE. You should see good gains then if you still aren't happy get o2 housing, ported intake/TB (and while your at it exhaust manifold. that 360 on a MD is still good numbers. ALmost 400 on a DJ with some mediocre parts for the boost you are tryingto push. Iwuldn't be too upset.

no thats fine any ported part can only help lol but if you want the full benifit you should get a ported hotside ported o2 housing, ported exhaust(or tubular manifiold) ported intake, ported T/B and really angular port your head for that maximun flow action.

360 on pump for an 8 without 02 or porting seems good on a MD.
At the same boost on pump with a 9 turbo would it be close? Just asking

Hey man I love my old green turbo. Right now I am making 396 / 369 on 93 octane on Buschur Dyno. And I am going for more. I am porting my exhaust/intake mani, BR throttle Body, switching cams from hks 272s to BF 272s, and upgrading my head studs. Should get me over 400. I just wish I could have gotten the HTA green.

On a PROPERLY setup Mustang dyno, 360/360 is actually really good for pump gas. Stop comparing your numbers to dynojet numbers and people who have their mustang dynos setup to read like dynojets.
