PTE 1200 fitment

Has anyone experienced fitment issues with the PTE 1200 series injectors? Specifically, my PTE injector clip seems to hit the fuel rail in an odd way. One injector was leaking but I believe that was from a slightly ripped seal. Just curious why they don't fit like the OEM injector....

I had PTE 880's installed many many moons ago and I hated the seal kit that came with the,....(1) o-ring and a bottom seal. I had a leakage issue and it was just crap imo.

Realizing the injector pte sells is the same as FIC sells I ordered a set of the viton seals and changed my PTE style to how FIC runs the same style injector. They remove the pintle cap, and use 2 upper o-rings, a better viton lower seal, as well as a new isolator where it fits in the rail.

Im not sure if the PTE 1200 uses this same body or not.....but I know up to 1000's the FIC and PTE use the same injector body, or did when I first got that style which i no longer run.

Travman - thanks for the pictures and feedback. It appears you and I had the same experience.

Remy - When you install the PTEs, does the clip hit the rail ? How do you orient it such that the injector fits better ?

I cringe when reading these threads, as I just picked up a set of PTE1200 injectors. Installing them in another week. I thought it was going to be a brainless 30m process, looks like I may have a complication to figure out now??

Remy - what are you doing differently that makes these fit, and clear the fuel rail?

in MY experience, PTE 880's had a slight rubbing issue with the fuel rail and the clip. i never had a leak though.

I thought it would the same with the PTE 1200's but that is NOT the case. my 1200's clear with no rubbing at all.
