Bubbling in the coolant reservior

Well they emptied out the reservoir after filling the radiator up with more fluid before the next run. They tried to purge the radiator of all bubbles as well. Radiator hoses were also checked.
They didn't do a compression check because its was time for the shop to close. I was told it would also take 10 hours of labor to pull the head and put it back on.

Well they told me the car would not be drive able so its sitting at their shop. I am pretty sure its been torn apart by now. With my little bit of car knowledge I didn't know what was going on. I know the basics and that is it.
