It is great that you keep posting this stuff. 3 years ago it was just gt35 this and g37 that. Then the HTAs started to come out and now PTE made better turbos. We all might have another option in turbos, well 2 more. These Comp turbos and the new BW turbos.

fyi the PTE turbos are **** if you ask me. the only one I would ever consider running would be a billet DBB 6262. But than again a HTA3586 is better so I would go with that. lol

For the money PTE is okay

And I agree with you there. I wouldn't chose a PTE over HTA even if I had to save up another 4 months for the HTA. Some people are having great success with them but I love the hta86. I want to see the results from JB if he can test a hta86 SS vs TS. That makes me excited lol

I was just mentioning the fact that there are newer and better turbos out now days. The old PTEs were as bad as the turbonetics turbos. I thought those were great until I blew 2 turbos in a POS Civic Si.

I personally feel that a SS HTA3586 can be just as good as a TS HTA3586. If you run a 1.25" runner manifold, SS T3 0.82 housing the HTA3586 should spool like a TS but will make more power out the topend. just my personal opinion... I have not seen this tested yet.

We shall see what JB does. I was thinking about going with a .63 A/R just to try to save the spool a little and at altitude I won't max out the turbo at 800awhp like you guys at sea level. If I could get to 700hp, which mike@awd says he has, I would be happy with a .63 A/R.

Ya but 700hp out of a .63 at high alt... I don't think that is possible. I would say more like 625-650, jmo though.

To be honest sounds like you want something like a Holset VGT turbo. I know the DSM guys are trying them and maybe if other companies build something like it they will become more popular. Some type of Billet HTA wheel with a VGT exhaust would be awesome , any turbo companies listening??

Talk to Justin at Comp, great guy! Very friendly and knows his stuff! After talking to him, I am going to go with the T4 64 TBB Ex Tip with the .63 Tial V-band inlet. It will flow 70lb a min!!! They have tons of options, so as my car needs to go faster, my turbo will get bigger!

I run a Comp Turbo 1.0 a/r CT43-7071. My car is currently at Strictly Modified. I'll post the info once I get the numbers.

I have a few bugs to work out. Soon as I get that fixed and I have time it's straight to the dyno. I'll post numbers. I will say the turbo spools very fast for its size.

Almost. Been real busy at work but i've narrowed it down. I won't make the track but I should be able to hit the dyno.
