Its your plates are warped. My exedy is the same way next your 5th will prolly start grinding. If it wants to roll in 1st or reverse whats happening is the plates are not fully engaging or disengaging because of warpage. I talked to John Shepard about it. Time for you to start working on it haha I even replaced my slave changed the rod all didnt do anything bleed it nothing adjusted it. Try adjusting your pedal down i bet you wont be able to get into first thats how you know your clutch is toast. Hope that helps ya out. Also its evojohn on midwest im just a super newb on evom haha

I am having the exact same problem, my Evo is at Car-Life Transmissions on VABeach Blvd. No exact cause yet, I should know more about it soon. See what was reused from when the original owner blew it up when the car was new.

The Verdict on my 03: The clutch has come apart, its cracked and some of the springs and stuff are broken. The dealer had done a poor job when the original owner blew it up, there was trash left over from that. $2916

Yeah just 2 disks. Recommend you redo the flexplate to anyways thats what shepard told me. But you could prolly just get the disks its like 430 bucks or something like that. Also dont forget about a throw out bearing might not be a bad idea

My clutch wasn't slipping, but it was making some bad (but not loud) noises. All the clutch hardware and connecting bits came out and were replaced. The clutch was badly cracked, and the fly wheel was hosed. My mechanic is saving my clutch bits to see, I can post photos of the damage if you want to see it. My trany is finished, but my flywheel was back ordered, they had to cancel the order and get one from Summit Racing. With the holiday weekend I won't have it back until Tuesday.
