It seems hit or miss, some never have any issues, others have tons. Not to mention, theyre a pound heavier than stock if my memory serves me right.

 

Yeah not worth it, I would like a better vented hood but I don't want a heavy hood that's likely to break.

 

my godness 1 lb people not bad it will be ok. you can get viz version of the hood. seibon is hit or miss and does have clearcoating issues and fitment issues. then again you could get a perfect mod. i have one seibon product. my hood on my Z and it cam preyellow fits like a glove but was never right from day 1. All my viz products are perfect the only issue i had was my viz cf trunk for my evo i had to modify the latch to get it right but was not hard other then that i roll with viz or ait racing cf products

 

It's not the pound, I mean thats part of it considering how much people pay to drop a pound here and a pound there. I doesn't make sense to buy a hood thats heavier then the stock AND prone to yellowing/breaking. If I could find a high quility hood that I liked the look of and it only weighted a pound then the trade off is worth it, its just not worth it for the Seibon imo.

 

Rock, my hood is the VIS. The seibon has the hole on the wrong side. fyi

Yeah I plan to, not a big fan of the carbon fiber look. It looks to ricy for me, I try to keep my car subtle as possible wit hthat giant as wing

Looks like Greg will have my cams shipped tomorrow and should be at ER on Friday or Monday at the latest. I am off work next tuesday and Wed so we plan to install and retune then.
