Why not just start over on a clean slate
Both of you apoligize
Jinu go back and get your car tuned alittle more by Al
I don't think he will try to **** up your car just to get back at you
I'm sure both of you just want to make this right

He was very very worried about his car blowing up from too much hp

Funny thing is that his car was unsafely detonating when he drove into the shop !!!!!

The HKS suction kit makes the cars run very lean in the mid range

Al, maybe you should have confronted him differently, instead of badgering him with insults. Please respect that he might not be inclined to understand wahts going on. Educated him so he would be less worried.

There is nothing to do on his car - the tune is perfect as is

I will post the dyno sheet later tonight - I am very proud of the tune

It takes a car running very lean and detonating (you can see it in his dyno sheet) - and adds in a lot of fuel and makes the a/f's down to 10.8 - 11.1 and also brings his power up to 287 from a base line of 271

287 is a decent number for 93 octane fuel and only 20.5 psi of boost

The tune is perfect - the car runs smooth all the way to red line - there is zero detonation - it is making almost 30 whp more power at 7,000 rpms

Tuning is a TRADE OFF between margin of safety and performance

In this case we merely followed the customer directive to mainatin total safety and not appraoch 300 whp

there is nothing "wrong" with his tune - there is no right or wrong tune

He is just down about 10 whp fronm where I would like it to be - BUT - he has an even bigger saftey margin than almost any tune we have done before

Jim - this guy has shown his character

I am not some stranger to the EVO NY crew

He should have attempted to resolve his issues through you or willie or by talking with me directly

The reason why I insulted him is becuase he was making threats to harm my business - which i work very hard on and which puts food on my family's table

His behaviour and the entire situation is like a irrational nightmare

Trust me when I tell you I can't even dream up an insult big enough to deal with this individual

I didn't mean about something wrong with the tune
If he has a change of heart about going up alittle more on the power for him to go back to you
I'm sure you would'nt try to **** him over like he's suggesting
Both of you just apologize and start over clean

If I was Al I would not touch this persons car, and it does sound like he has some mental problems, he needs to take a trip to TX and see MP5
Please keep insults to yourself.

Al, I will talk to him to come to an agreement.

This guy Joe is not the first person to think that Al is a moron. There are those that stuff there noses so far up his rear that they cannot see how he treats people. I truly believe that he might have treated Joe in a bad way, he's a lawyer for christ sakes!! Take his dyno sheets away and he's just a mid-life crisis guy that has mucho dollars, not a real mechanic. Joe to take this experience as that- experience, So you got humped by a "Tuner" , think of it as a loss and move on. Take the $200 and run! Hopefully noone else gets verbally abused by AL. No one deserves that, and if it was me, just by him saying I was winning like a sissy would've bought him an express ride to the hospital.

I will have his dyno sheets posted up here within the next 24 hours - I have to make a special trip to Pruven to get them as they ran out of ink in the printer while this guy was there

WHEN I POST HIS dyno sheets you will all understand exactly where this person is comming from !

He didn;t have a change of heart on the tune

He was happy with the tune and knew it was a very good tune

What this is about is he saw our money back promise as an opportuniy to squeeze back $200 from me on the threat of bad mouthing me in thsi forum

Thats when I told him off

I do not respond well to threats - and I don't think many of you would either

Thanks for the kind offer! As you know I go through great lengths to bend over back wards on all Evo NY members to get a perfect job and get them a special discount

Evo-Ny members will always be given the best attention and service we can offer

However - this person has worn out his welcome with us

We will NOT work on his car or talk to him under any circumstances

thats a funny one... Not wanting over 300whp? Probably one of

the best ones I have heard in a long time. My expierences with

AL is he is a total cool guy. He takes a lot of time to do something

right wiht out rushing just to make a buck, if he is unhappy with

your tune he will stay until it meets his satisfaction like in Pauls

car, he stayed a whole 3 hours to complete the tune. As far as

safey goes AL was extreemly safe, I personally think he is overtly

safe sometimes. So when you go saying you dont want your car

to blow up... it makes me laugh specially when your detonating

prior to getting a tune. Hell Whens the last car AL tuned that

exploded? I havent heard of any...

I think you needed correcting before the last car he blew up was his- the first built engine. But no customer cars. BTW no one responds well to blackmail but AL what if this guy wants to go back to stock or add mods? He will now have to get another EM
