question about injectors

hello,

are PTE injectors any good... i currently have FIC 1050s and they are just too big for my meth setup and causing issues.

anyway a mate of mine is selling FIC 750s or i might be able to get PTE injectors either 680 or 880... which is a better injector. for spray pattern. i think i read somewhere that the 750s arent that good a spray pattern.

i have calculated i will be 100% duty cycle with about 630cc so either of the three injectors will flow enough for my needs.

hope someone can help.

Yes the PTE injectors are good injectors, I would go with the 880's to give you a little more head room when making future mods. I have PTE 1000's in my car now and once properly scaled they run, idle and make power great. There is nothing wrong with the FIC injectors either. I've run them before as well. All depends on the tuner and personal preference, do what makes you happy. Both are high quality parts.

+1 I ran the PTE 880cc's on my E85 tune. The car ran beautifuly, and the IDC was realitively low at 32psi. So I would definately reccomend PTE for all of you're fuel needs. The size that you are looking for is completely dependant upon you're mods, fuel and, future plans. But 880's are a good size for a moderate-agressive street tune. Good luck!

thanks... i am running meth hence the need for a smaller injector... i currently run 1050s but they run at under 60% duty cycle and cause issues with the meth... hence i want to downgrade to a smaller injector.

I dont see how injectors could cause issues with meth if you have a proper tune. 1050's are very easily tuned to perfection on our cars on gas, so I would say to look for a better tuner to work out your meth issue rather than changing the injector.

^ I agree with Batty....I don't understand why you would change out FIC 1050s and go with an 880....You can easily get the 1050s to run well (with or without methanol).

I am running PTE1200s with Methanol.

they are running fine... as i said only at 50-60% duty cycle. the issue is that i want meth to come on super early and am having issues with the controler going into failsafe mode with half throttle stuff or if i am say in 6th gear or going up a steep hill the boost take long time to come on and i think its due to the fact it stays for long in the DC% that triggers it and hence it thinks there is not enough flow. i have worked around it by having the meth come on later.... but obviously its not a solution that i want.
