Well it finally happend 4th broke on my 6 speed . So now the question is... Do i

A . Get a stock 5 speed with some miles on it and just throw it in.. my car is making 530whp at the moment on pump.

B. get a stock 5 speed send it to shep and build it.


C. try and pray that team rip will get me my built 6 speed back befor October


I'm really about to do A just for the fact that i could have my car back in a week or so. And i know the stock 5 speed can handle close to 600whp stock anyway, or at least i think they can. Just wanted to see what you guys think . Oh and if anyone has a stock 5 speed in good condition that WORKS send me a pm.

Go with option A, unless you drag race it alot a stock 5 speed should hold up to 500hp for a while.

Well there is this road near my house that is a looong straight away. I had my friend in the car and i just kept doing pull after pull maby like 3 or 4 in a row. then when i was getting on the freeway when i put my car in 4th it would vibrate. In every other gear it would be fine except 4th. I mean the gear is still there i broke a tooth off it.

The thing is honestly i want to get my 6 speed built. I know shep is working on a set for the 6 speed now. Here is my plan..... get a stock 5 speed swap it in beat on it all summer. Come october or so the 6 speed gear set from shep should be out send it out to him have him build it.

Cant just plug and play the 5sp in the MR. Thought you have to do the conversion.. Might end up being expensive so might just want to drive with it the way it is. I drove without my 4th gear for a bit. I just didnt put the car into 4th.

When I broke my 6spd I was with out 3rd & 4th for a whole summer. I would have to wind out 2nd all the way to make 5 not drag that much.

if you won't be racing for a while then just run it as is for now and just don't shift to fourth. or just buy another 6-speed they are typically very cheap.

just wait till the gears for the 6spd are out. Its not like its 1st or 2nd gear its 4th. I drove a car without 2nd and that ****in sucked, i had to bring 1st to 6k everytime and everyone thought i was tryin to race them haha. But 4th gear shouldnt be that bad.
