Nicks LR 2.4 FP Black Build
Well the time has finally come for me to start keeping track of the build with my car. Got everything set in stone this week, so it seems everything is finally coming together!
Started off buying my car from a fellow evom member in VA. Drove it home, loved it for the 3-4 weeks that it ran. Then, one night, a lifter decided to stick, and the motor spun a bearing. Went with a 2.4 because of $$, and that motor didnt work out too well. Wont go into details with that, because i want this thread to stay open
Long story short, since last september my car has been down with problem after problem. Come March, and it seems like everything is going great, finally going to be able to drive my car. I was wrong.
The shop my car was at didn't tighten down the adj cam gears, and the belt came loose when i went to take it for a drive. Then, after 2.5 months, his insurance finally gets everything taken care of, and covers their mechanics work. And behold, my build so far:
English Racing 10:1 Long Rod 2.4- Wiseco 1400HD Pistons, Manley Rods
Buschur Stage 3 Head
ARP L19 Head Studs
Supertech 1mm oversized valves
Supertech Spring/Retainers
Kelford 280 cams
Kiggly HLA
SparkTech Non-cdi COP
Ported/Coated FP Black with 25psi Wastegate
Magnus V5
Boomba 75mm Throttle Body
Buschur Ported Exhaust Mani
ETS 4" FMIC with 3" Piping
Shep Stage 3 Transfercase
DS Stage 2 Axles
Shep Street/Strip Tranny
Exedy Triple Disk Clutch
AMS Shifter Bushings
AWD Motorsports 4pc Solid Mount Set
FIC 1450 injectors
Off the top of my head, this about sums it up. I dont have pics as of yet, as my car is sitting empty at Modified by KC in Kansas. This has been a great shop to deal with, and they have kept me informed every step of the way. Ryan has always answered my questions, and talked me through the build, trying to find weak points, etc.
So, within the next few months, everything should be coming together nicely, and ready to put down some nice numbers! Stay tuned!

Correction: They were waiting on the oil pump, so its scheduled to be picked up tomorrow! And I've waited about 9 months already, so time isnt a huge deal... haha. I know its getting done right this time, so thats all that matters.

Well the 1450's were bought when i was planning on running the green on e85. So they will have to do for now. Itll let the motor get some mileage on it before i can afford some bigger injectors. Then its on!
