You guys are taking my post out of perspective.

Geoff made the comment that Dan's car proved the TS doesn't drop off by the 135mph traps. I just mentioned that another car with the same turbo in SS flavor has gone 145mph on 93 octane.

Weight is different, dedicated dragcar, blah blah blah

Point is, 135mph didn't really prove it doesn't give up top end to a SS. I am saying NOTHING more than that.

I'll take a 10 second street car with excellent street manners any day of the week and I moved the post from Dan's thread as he deserves the acknowledgment in that thread. This thread is about TS setups so it seems relevant in here.

Check out Ted B's manifold by MPFab, it has a single, divided wastegate...

Your comparison is of 2 totally different cars in almost every way but the make " Mitsubishi." Get with the program. These guys are talking about every other pump gas car in the 130s MPH range. The everyday pump gas cars who go just as fast.

What boost level and power were you running on pump gas when you ran a 10.5?

Fair enough, I took it as more of a loaded statement to stir up the single scroll guys.

I find it interesting that some people think that a T3 TS 1.06a/r will destroy the power potential of a turbo like the 3586. However, people like me and Mike at AWD have 700hp out of a stock cast 1.25" manifold with the extremely small stock TS housing on a Black...

So... If you go to a 1.25" tubular manifold (flows more than the stock cast), T3 TS 1.06a/r housing (much larger than stock housing), and upgraded to a 3586 (larger than a Black) then why could we not make 750+hp with great spool and topend? I would be willing to bet, a setup like this would only spool 200-300rpm slower than the Black and make a good 50hp more.

Because a T3 Twin scroll setup is too small to do that.

This is a T4 Twin Scroll 35R and it won't have any issues making 700 whp, and will make a LOT more tq at redline than that little black. The neat part about using a T4 twin scroll turbo setup is that it can accomodate turbos that can produce 600 to 1200 hp by just swapping out the turbo and nothing else. You cannot do that on a 2 liter motor with any other manifold setup on the market, NONE of them, be it T3, T3 Twin scroll, or OEM Twin Scroll,

I don't understand what you were getting at in your post?

Scorke
