B&B Downpipe-HELP!!! Rubbing

Hey there guys, I installed the BB triflo downpipe and catback today and have some questions, I seem to be getting some very strange smells and what not, but I think that is normal. What worries me is under high boost and at what seems to be at random times the downpipe seems to rattle against the lower part of the frame about 7 inched before the cat. I was wondering if anybody else is having this problem. Also how much of a difference in spooling noise do you get when you get up to about 5k rpm?

Thanks for your help

I don't get any rattling, but boy it smelled the first week or so. Still smells a little.

really

When you guys installed, of the section of the downpipe about half a foot infront of the cat how close to the frame was it? I think when my engine really starts to twist it starts to rattle. And how much noiser did the downpipe make ur turbo sound?

No rattle or smell with mine. Is it really close to the frame cross braces? Put a couple flat washers under them to give a little room.

I think he is talking about the 2 tie bars underneath the downpipe. I just finished installing mine so I don't know if it will rub yet. I have washers though so I am prepared

Ahhhh thats where you were talking about. When installing the downpipe on my car I looked to see if it could rub anywhere and it looked like it was most likely to rub on the top side of the downpipe on the lower subframe of the car, not those bars.

p.s. We are getting another evo and considering going with a different downpipe if this one does rattle, what do you guys think? Im asking the BandB crowd so they can compare.
