He really impressed me with his amazig 11.8 at 119 1/4 mile time with my Dyno Flash - j2 mph off from my trap speed and only 2 hundreths off from my ET - with a heck of a LOT less mods
If thguyy really sells his Evo it will be a great loss for the Evo community
I am hoping that next week he will feel better and try a HKS clutch
I had the clutch pop off on me also and its a real drag - the Exeddy twin disk sucks !!!!!

question for Al, did u get any dyno numbers running without hitting the nos? also, where did u find the 3037 starting to spool? and lastly, what psi were u running to get these numbers... this is the turbo I plan on using in a few months, and I'm trying to get as much feedback from people that are actually using it... thanx

The Exedy twin disc sucks?
Man, this is the absolute best clutch I have ever ran in 15 years of DSM's. My call is the installer is messing something up.
The Exedy is the best.

and then followed that with a 11.62 to set a new non NOS 1/4 mile record with the Evo 8 !!

That run was with a 35 shot and the Ntercooler
As you can see the power fell off a bit in 4th gear as I had the ecu set a bit too rich for 4th gear and it started to miss fire and pop up top - I tuned it on the street on my way down to the track at 5:00 a.m. and I never go fast enough to hit 115 - 125 mph when I street tune
Then I got a nice exit from that class and was warned NOT to go faster than 11.99 again without a gage or I would be thrown off the track - they moved me to the B-3 braket class
Thats when I decided to take a shot at the NON NOS Evo 8 fastest 1/4 mile time as all the so called "expert" tuners who are creeping up on my record times all seem to NOT be using NOS and I knew some people would wonder if all my sucess was a result of NOS?
I took both bottles OUT of the car - added in a few degrees of ign timing and made this pass on just turbo (1.63 bars)
60' 1.722
330 4.894
1/8 7.524 @ 93.11
1000 9.754
1/4 11.624 @ 119.45
It seems this is a record World's fastest Evo 8 NON NOS 1/4 mile time

I also popped one off at the track
It seems they hold up fine as long as you dont try shifting super fast
Dave - did you try the HKS or ORG clutches out yet ?

What are you using for tires? From your times it looks like you are spinning through the 60'? Excellent times though! But you need a roll bar soon so we can continue watching your improvements!
