I've heard good things about the Buschur piece, but I'm looking for an exhaust that exits the bumper at an angle. I'm trying to get away from something that looks stock.

I don't think you remember what a stock exhaust sounds like.

Well Maybe. Lets put it this way. While cruising (low boost, low load) I dont hear the exhaust from inside the car with the AC on and radio at low volumes. Stock is not completely quiet like other sedans.

Get an HKS hi-power catback. I use it its got nice sound Not loud at all. I got tired of the quietness so I did a muffler delete pipe from the axle back. My current exhaust sounds Bad A**. Megan O2 housing,Megan 3inch Dp, Cobb 3inch test pipe, Hks Hi-power catback with muffler delete. the resonator in the hks catback makes it sound good without the muffler

Stock sounds like a whisper next to the Works exhaust. Hell, at idle, its low-frequency emissions vibrate half the dishes in my kitchen. My wife can hear me coming from (literally) a block away through two rows of houses, old-growth trees, etc, as I'm running at low revs cooling down the turbo. Let's not get carried away. Yes, it's quieter than many other Evo exhausts, but it isn't anywhere near stock. I originally bought this exhaust, because I'd read many posts like yours. It's about time someone told the truth.

I installed a Greddy SP2 and love the sound. The butt dyno does not feel big difference, but I will take some logs and see what VDR tells me. Either way the car is more fun to drive now because there is no awful drone.

To OP and those interested. Dont waste your time and money, I already did that and I am sharing my knowledge and findings...

Similar to stock quiet:

Louder than stock but law friendly and toned way down.

I've been following the threads. The Buschur option wouldn't work for me, as I like to run a HFC. The Valve Tech muffler sounds interesting and I'd like to see a reliable, well-fitting solution stem from its implementation. I've advocated a vendor-introduced quiet exhaust for years. There's an opportunity here to make a buck.
