To OP and those interested. Dont waste your time and money, I already did that and I am sharing my knowledge and findings...

Actually I was following your thread and have similar goals in terms of noise and power loss. Unfortunately the mixed reviews with the 'flapper' design sent me in a different direction - Greddy SP2. I have not heard the Dynomax muffler in person, but my SP2 is nearly stock quiet and I am quite confident has not robbed me of any hp.
