hello all, how does the greddy type s sound with stock air box? Is it loud? thanks

 

i got the greddy type s bov.. i got a buschur racing intake in mines.. so its pretty loud wit the intake

 

I just installed the greddy type s bov in my car. It makes a little squeeezzzzz sound, but I like it. It would be louder with an aftermarket air filter. I'm getting the RMR air filter soon.

 

I have the same BOV and sounds great, if you want a good example watch the movie 2 fast 2 furious,by the way this movie is really bad but the BOV sound is really close to the way greddy type s sounds...Its louder then stock and im using stock air box..but not too loud

No problems with idle, holds boost and sounds like a squeeze noise and somtimes under hard acceleration is will go whooosh...

anyways that movie sucks

 

I don't how everyone else has theirs setup but mine is really loud with just the stock air box tuned it for about 30 mins till got the perfect sound when i'm leaving my friends house they said they could hear it go off all the way through 1st to 4th.

 

Even though the greddy vents to the atmosphere, none of you guys are running into any mechanical problems?

you can make it vta if you want, some places include the plug, my eclipse was has the type s and i made it vta, but really didnt make much diff. with after market intake, but besides that it sounds pretty nice, not to loud but really nice!

 

*yawn* I can most likely get you a clip of my BOV, its a turbo xs RFL, sounds crazy loud.. if i hit past 4.5k rmp it lets a whistle sound off while making PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST its crazy

I got A BLITZ BOV... it's good. Pretty darn loud without the filter. Its neat cuz u still can hear it under low rpms. Cool beans!

 

i got a forge blowoff valve and it is recirclatory with the buschur intake mine has to wistle sound just a loud blast of air sounds good though and when i let off the gas slowly it flutters
