Car Just Died at 6k and Heres Why (Check This Out)
First off heres a little run down on my car. Last year i decided to pull the motor and do a fully built longblock. The build went smooth and the car lasted for a little over a year with no problems till last night. I decided to do a little 3rd gear pull for ha ha's and as soon as the car came into full boost a little after around 6k the car just dies. There was no bang, misfire, breakup, nothing. It was like you turned a light switch on and off. So i try to start the car nothing, i notice the car is turning over very easliy and sounded like it has no compression. To make a long story short i tow the car home and start to work on it first thing this morning and find this. The intake cam snapped and in doing so bent all the intake vavles and probably destroyed some pistons. As for what kind of cams, they are Kelford 280,276

these cams are a year old. i bought them from ETS last year on the forums they were brand new in the box. I have to try and get in touch with someone because this is a little ridiculous. i payed 550 for the cams along with pistons, rods, valvetrain, machine work, ect. And this piece of S*** cam company manufactures junk cams.

you know ive been around this neighbourhood for a while now, when i was looking for cams there were no kelfords avail, it was GSC, cossi, or hks, i opted for cossi's as they were yiedling the best power and reliability for their price.
since kelfords came out all we have seen in this community is this type of problems, these guys definately need to go back to the drawing board,
i amalso wondering what is their backvground, where they get their crude metal from.
this is a little rediculus many folks having big issues due to broken cams.

very surprised to hear this. heard mostly good things about kelfords. regardless that is awful sorry to hear that, def try contacting ETS or Kelford through them. terrible damage for such a small piece. best of luck with your new re-build
