How Do I build a 2.1L
Jus wondering what specific Rods and Pistons are needed to build a 2.1L de-stroker. I allready no you use the 2.4l block with a 2.0L crank but what specs must the pistons and rods have?

86.5mm pistons with a dish volume of -12cc's & compression height of 28.7mm.
with a 1.4mm thk head gasket, this will yield a static compression ratio of ~8.96:1

With 87mm bores and a .051" thick Cometic Phusion Head Gasket you would need pistons with a dish volume of approximately -2.6cc's to achieve 10.5:1.
Assuming a 1.130" compression height, .012" deck clearance and 43cc combustion chambers.
If you can find a thinner head gasket that is MLS and 87mm bores, then the piston dish volume requirement of -2.6cc's can go up.
For example with everything the same and you find a .039" HG or 1mm, your piston dish volume requirement to achieve 10.5:1 can go up to -4.4cc's.
If your engine builder is willing to resleeve your 4G64 back down to 85.5mm bores, then you can run any Evo Head Gasket and have much lighter pistons that could routinely get flogged up to 11k rpm no problem!
