well i can tell u is FP customer service is A+, call before hand to see if they are really backed up and approximate time it will take to convert. There shipping is A+ and converting to HTA = faster spool.

I don't think they would have any problems doing it. You might come out cheaper selling your turbo and just buying one already done directly from them.

I can only say that I have experience with the HTA3076R. Its a good turbo, I like it more than the fpred (which I also have experience with)

Their rebuilder is out on military leave for 2 weeks. I sent in my 35R to get the HTA86 treatment and it took 2 weeks turn around. From delivery to them to delivery back to me took 2 weeks exactly. Brian (the rebuilder) is set to be back in late July just FYI.

-ball bearing
-externally gated
-more topend
-better resale
-reliability
-big turbos look nicer (opinion of course lol).

I have a HTA3076 on a stock block 2L and its an awsome turbo spools quicker and smoother than the stock GT3076 and makes more power... pulls hard all the way to redline...

does the HTA3076 spool faster than the FP Red?
Are you using a T3 Twin scroll manifold for it?

i think your stock frame turbos are going to spool faster. after all thats one of the benifits of them not to mention making sick power as well
