500whp on E85
#6
thanks guys, im gonna try it on the 1000's and see how high the idc's get. double pumper would be sick but i dont think i will need it until i build the block. This is the highest i will go on the stock block.

Monitor your fuel rail pressure, and you will see it dropping before 500whp with a single pump. Whether you build the block or not makes no difference as far as adequate fueling for 500whp with E85 is concerned.

All depends on the dyno. We just finished a car that made 450 whp at 110% IDC with 1050cc's. You will probably run out of pump before those 1000's will make that power on our mustang dyno. We will be installing a double pumper and I will let you guys know what happens.

If your injectors can handle a bump in fuel pressure, they should be fine for 500whp (as Emery said, it also depends on the dyno).
ID or something similar would be a good choice, because with a double pump you can run high fuel pressure safely. If you are planning for more than 500whp, the ID2000cc are not a bad choice.

Three that you should consider for a 500 hp E85 setup:
FIC Bluemax 1450cc
FIC Bluemax 2150cc High Impedance Injectors
ID2200 High Impedance Injectors
NOTE: The Bosch cores used in both the FIC 2150's and the ID 2200 are for all purposes the same. Although the wild paint of the ID 2200's sure do look cool.
Most setups I've seen stick to the base fuel pressure of 43.5 psi (stock). You're asking more from the pumps when you crank up the fuel pressure. Maybe considered safe, but IMO unwise unless your only option.
Both these High Impedance Injectors manufacturers advertise better cold starts and idle with E85.
