oetiker clamps are nice. Mercedes likes to use those alot, especially for fuel lines. When working with those clamps I always try and replace them instead of re using them. When you try and take them off, they can be a pain and then the clamp tends to stick to the coupler after a while. Trying to pry it completely off they can get distorted. They might still be ok, but I always feel its best to replace them everytime you take them off. Just something to consider about oetiker clamps.

I personally run spring loaded clamps because they are as width of OEM clamps but as strong as t-bolts(atleast the ones on my car are the width of stock) which is needed for the coupler for the UICP to the TB(recently I've been having issues w/ my t-bolt on my uicp)so i'm going to be switching to these(I only have 2-3 of them on my car ATM):

The only hose connection I continue to struggle with is the same as the OP - UICP to throttle body. After blowing off the last T-bolt clamp, I decided to take some measurements.

The width of the throttle body hose connection surface area between the stop and the bead is 17.5mm. The width of the T-bolt clamp I was using is 19mm. It is readily apparent after measuring that a good-fit hose connection is not going to be possible with these two dimensions.

I did find reference on the I-net to the existence of 14mm wide "narrow" T-bolt clamps, but have as yet been unable to find a retail source.

For now, I have rolled back to a HD hose clamp by Ideal with a 16mm width. Mine are from RRE and can be torqued to 150 in lbs.

If anyone has found a clamp in a width that actually fits this connection, please post up the product and source.

These are the best, and least maintenance. Doesn't distort aluminum tubes, doesn't loosen up and requires zero maintenance. I've had mine well over 120k and not one issue.
I really like the idea behind these clamps, how do you order them though? I can't find a place on their site.

Can anybody list the size of the clamps so we can get a set together?

Also would the stock pipes sizes work for most aftermarket kits?

each mfgr has their own sizing...so be careful that if you're spec'd x size by x mfgr that you don't buy those sizes by another brand...chances are that they won't fit.

I rock ETS SS piping so I can man-strength my t-bolt clamps on until they don't turn anymore Having guerilla strength sometimes sucks, especially when I have to play with Aluminum.

We use Breeze T-bolt clamps with guides and triple tach welds. No breaking here
