Yellow grease next to both axles.

Hi everybody!!!
Two days ago a I changed the clutch on my 05 EVO. Clutch works fine but I noticed some kind of yellow grease spitted all over the area where axles connects to the tranny. It doesn't look like it going out directly from those axle-tranny connections, but it is coming out from somewhere. It is like that on both, driver and passenger axles. I don't see any leaks when I open the hood and rev, so it is probably happening while driving. Anybody knows what is going on??? Here are some pics of driver side.

That looks like the grease from inside the cv joint. I would make sure the boots are not ripped on the axle. It seems unlikely that both boots would rip, but maybe you accidentally ripped them when you removed the axles.

I thought that grease they use in cv joint is black.

I've seen black, blue and yellow grease in axles. If it is grease, not oil, then that is the only source there. However, it should be easy to trace grease to its source.

I recently had to replace both inner boots on my WRX. No holes, they were leaking right through the bands. The replacement boots I installed show no sign of grease after two months of driving. So, dunno, maybe a crummy build at the factory.
