I don't think your going to be able to get the 1.8" over the 2.5" very easily. I'm sure it's possible, but it's going to require some work for sure.

We do have a 2.5" to 2.5" 45 degree hose you could run instead. We just need to make sure the upgraded outlet pipes end in the same location as the stock outlet pipe.

Yeah, the OP must be using an aftermarket J-pipe. The stock one comes in under 2". So either change the J-Pipe back to stock or just get a different coupler for it. The J-pipe will help with performance so my vote is for getting a new coupler.

Good luck with it

Do you know what size coupler you would need for the other end of the pipe that connects to the intercooler? This would be for a stock Evo 9 intercooler. I'm pretty sure the stock coupler is a 5 inch long, 2.25 i.d., 45 degree. Thanks

Same thing here just bolt the LICP to the turbo first and then finish with the intercooler. This method worked for me.

I would be carefull with mods like that, the air is hot and a sharp expansion between the compressor and cooler can effect the efficiency and flow of both. Not claiming it will make a difference, but it might.
