Evo IX crunch 2nd to 3rd gear

Hi gurus,

I just replaced the clutch kit on my IX and installed an ACT clutch kit again (pressure plate, street disc and bearing). Also i changed the oil gear and trans and putted on Motulgear 300 75W-90 Synthese, which is GL4 and GL5.

After that, it start to crunch 2-->3 above 3000rpm
Please note that before replacing the clutch kit this does not happend.

Anybody had/have the same problem?

I read changing the oil and deleting the restrictor could help.

Any recommendation?

Help please!!!

Thanks in advance

It's not just you bud, there is hundred if not thousand of us who got the same crap from ACT. The end of the story is you have to save for another set up fast before your gear box become just a box.

So, you mean that is an ACT issue?

A friend just put a Exedy single in his 9 and is having the same issue with the trans. He read somewhere its a tranny issue in the 9's. My 8 has an ACT with no issues.

I have been running that same ACT setup on my 8 for a 2 year, and besides the lock out for the first couple hundred miles its great, and still bites like a pitbull.
