Is Samco IC hose kit worth the money?
I mean... are silicon hoses cost that much??... 7 pieces of silicon
hose couplers that cost more than $250...
Are they worth it??
I'm seeing less boost winter than back when I just got the car in
summer... so I might remove the front bumper to check on all
the IC connectors.... and while I'm at it I might as well upgrade
all the connectors with silicon couplers...
(Vendors: whats the best price for your samco kit?

I just remember seeing a video of the engine bay when the
owner was revving his engine... I was surprised how much the
rubber coupling (next to the battery) flexed and ballooned every
time the guy gets on the gas...

I still cannot find anyone who has tested the upgraded intercooler hose/pipe kits and found any substantial gains from just that part? The stock hose/pipe setup is really dam good for stock. I suspect for a mildly modified car, your just wasting your money. Of course someone could always prove me wrong.
I think one of the venders on here tested a pipe kit and quietly admited that they did not see any significant gains, that was quite a while ago so... I am sure with enough upgrades, turbo, etc, you might start to see some benifit, but I would do the intercooler before the hose/pipe kit. Also those rubber hoses seem to have a larger diameter and more gentle curves than all of the hard pipe kits I have seen.
If your going to spend that kind of money on a few bent pipes and hose connectors, at least go for a 3" setup and really do it right, ya know?

Just my .02 . When you do change those hoses, make sure that the clamps are damn, damn tight. I removed my upper hose/pipe to install an RMR aluminum intake. When I put them back, I thought they were tight enough.....WRONG. When I was passing up a car the damn hose to the throttle body popped off. So make sure they are really really tight!

If the re-enforced silicon hoses balloon less than the stockers, I can easily see how they might improve flow... I still can't believe how bad the stockers swell. Five hoses expanding a significant amount can't be good. However, I've seen no proof that the aftermarket hoses do indeed swell less.
