Looking at cams, need help
I'm getting close for a timing belt service and thought about cams since its already having to take the T-belt off. I only have TBE, intake, and a tune. My plans were only where I am but decided I may want a little more. I have a 5 percent chance of ever changing turbo so I'm not looking for major power but cams that would be worth the time and money. I wouldn't changed springs, valves or nothing so just looking for good cams that won't require head work. But I am looking for the absolute most power cams. What are your opinions or suggestions?
Edit: by the way my evo is a IX

Well if you want the "absolute most power cams" I am pretty sure you are going to have to change out your springs and valves. I would just check out this stikcy here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...no-replys.html that will pretty much help you figure what the most aggresive cams are without having to change anything out.

You're not going to find "maximum power cams" without upgrading to at least a better set of springs....period. now, if you want decent power without upgrading anything other than the cams and not have to worry about valve float, go with either some gsc s1's or cosworth m2's. The way I see it though, you might as well throw some springs in there while you are doing the cams and get a nice set of kelford 272's or 280's. Do it right once.

I went with the GSC S1s and absolutly love them! They do not require upgraded springs and I picked up an additional 24 WHP with them with similar mods to yours. I will side with BenJ tho if you are even thinking about ever upgrading in the future go with the springs right away.
