HELP Evo 9 over revving at gear change
Ok I'm certain that people have posted on this topic before but I just cant seem to find the thread.
My Evo 9 is over revving every time I change gears or take my foot off the accelerator. So as an example, if I rev to 4500RPM, when I put the clutch in, it will rev up a couple of hundred revs more, to about 4700RPM before dropping back down. I've owned 3 different Evos before this one, and never had any problem like this.
Its more noticeable at high revs (4000RPM+), and at higher speed (100km+) and in the higher gears (5th and 6th). Also, it seems to be intermittent. Its totally doing my head in.
My car has only done 30,000kms and has no mods aside from a full 3" exhaust and an HKS intake.
Andre Simon from Speedtech taking a look at the problem - but I'm keen to see how many others have experienced this issue, and if there is a known fix?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mine does this if I rev up to 3k without flogging it, but if i rev over 3k then its fine.
Im curious to know what causes it. I also have a HKS intake and use the evo 8 mr bov

Andre said it is likely to be a factory problem with the ECU software - but he's still working on it!
Trust the NZDM & AUDM Evos to be crapper than the JDM Evos haha.
