Not everyone's goal is to be part of the 600/700 whp mafia.

Im with you ravnos04.. sacrificing everything down low to get that stiffy up top isn't everything.. And with that said, when you run a TS vs. open you don't necessarily compromise lower RPM's and power as compared to an open setup. Don't cut yourself short either. Making 600whp on a TS setup nowadays is not as hard to do without giving up as much, or any, spool as it once was. And running a T3 TS with a 1.06 or higher is not obsolete as someone noted earlier. That's totally false. It just isn't being done due to the market doesn't really feel it's necessary to put it out there when the T4 is so readily available. Regardless, do as you see fit, you will have a great machine if you go with your gut. In the end, it's you that needs to be happy with your choice. Good luck

PTE 62mm billet compressor paired with a 35R.
Agreed. Different tastes for different people. Some like the instant spool of a stock turbo, some hate the lack of top end pull.

I haven't been inside these HP monsters so I'm not to savvy on this topic.

I feel strongly that the TS T3 1.06 is best suited toward turbos smaller than GT35R, or, perhaps a plane jane GT35R setup that uses only pump gasoline and isn't expected to generate greater than low-mid 500s.
For an HTA 3076 however, the TS T3 1.06 works well. See here:

Since IMO the FP Black is probably the best option for anything under 600whp, the best proposition when fitting TS to larger turbos is the 1.06 TS T4.
