Spark plug wire recommendations...
Hi guys, just wondering about spark plug wires.
I went to the Mitsu dealer and the parts guy told me guys usually get aftermarket ones.
I have read some people have problems with the magnacors.
What do you guys recommend? I have always just used OEM wires, but now with the mods???
BTW: I would like a COP system, but no money for that right now.
Thanks for looking

I have the Magnecore wires, never had a problem with them, that I am aware of. Chris at AMS did tell me that there were some issues with them before, I have also heard that they redesigned the boot and solved the issue. IMO, stick with stock wires until you get COP. The spoolinup kits are dirt cheap and are good for 99% of people out there. I personally am going to go with the AMS COP when i am ready for it.

im very surprised you speak negative abot okadas. i mean i dont have 1st hand experience w/ them but i havent read anything glaring about them either. given sparktech and spoolin up kits are more popular here and work well, but most feedbacks regarding okadas have been positive here i think?

Okada's were the "hype" when they came out and I got them off a friend for a nice price new in box. They failed after about 5k on E85 28psi. I installed the Spoolin-Up and put more mods on plus more boost and they are flawless...plus "if" there is a coil failure, you can go to your toyota dealer and buy a fresh one real quick.
My theory on car modding now is "one and done".

I used Denso's from Amazon and the resistance on the wire new and used was still less than new Mitsu units.
Fit and function was excellent and like $28 or so odd dollars on Amazon they are a good alternative to original units.
