TS T4 1.06a/r HTA3586

I was wondering is anyone has a dyno of a TS T4 1.06 HTA3586?

I'm sure someone does and I'm not sure that i have personally seen one. I am thinking of upgrading my turbo in the next couple of months. My end goal is 700-750hp daily with the best spool possible but the turbo still has to make power at 8500 on my LR2.4.

Ivey tuned a similar setup maybe 1.5 years ago and started a thread, maybe you can find it. Ted B could surely advise in volumes on the matter.

Is your goal 700-750hp or 700-750whp..? If it's whp, than look to the 4088R. I make 730whp at only 32psi...

750whp. What is your powerband like and does it hold power all the way to 8500k+ I want something that spools fairly fast too. I think I can make 700whp on a TS 3586 and have better spool than 4088.

I doubt 750whp is at all possible on a 3586, unless it's on a very high reading dyno...

Here's some info on my build up https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...croll-40r.html

Dyno #'s aside, @ 21psi on straight pump gas ~560whp on Jeff Evans Dynapack, my car trapped over 130mph... 27psi on straight pump gas it made 640whp - that's never going to happen on a 3586.

What does the Dynapack read like? A DJ?

I would like to know if your car pulls all the way to 8500 with the 4088? The 4088 may be a bit lazy, for me!

"Evans" dyno reads high from everyone I know that was tuned there and ran at the track. Just letting you know what I have found. Not sure what a dyna pack to dyno jet compare's like.

750 whp is doable on a 3586.

my car pulls to 8500rpms and makes power there - I've had several cars tuned by Jeff over the years and his dyno reads like a DJ - don't listen to hear say, I've got first hand experience. Like I said, 21psi ~560whp on his dyno yielded +130mph trap speed.

I've race a couple guys on 35r's that 'claimed' they were making over 700whp - it wasn't even close - I pulled bus lengths on them... I don't believe that the TS 3586 has 750whp in it, unless on a moon dyno...

My car (2.3 liter) on the TS 4088R makes 200whp @ ~4100rpms - if you're looking for better boost threshold then go with the TS 3586 but don't expect 750whp.

i dont see how the 3586r would make more power. smaller compressor wheel, smaller turbine wheel and a substantially smaller turbine housing. not to mention the 4088r has a much more robust center/bearing section in it so it will be more durable.

I think the TS 4088 would be the best turbo for me to have 750whp at 8500 and not be crazy laggy! I think I'm going to talk to Garrett about the GTX upgrade. It will make 10% more power than the std 4088 and will spool faster. I would be willing to bet that it would only spool 300-400rpm slower than a TS 3586 but make 100-150hp more! New new GTX is similar to an HTA turbo so is like have a HTA4088... I wish FP made one, I'll talk with Robert and see what he has to say.
