Bad Bish back to try and reach the 8's.

Yellow, these parts are only available through US, so this time I'd have to build your engine! Haha
I'm motivated but like most people get disgusted from time to time. I love this car and plan to never get rid of it. This 8 second goal ive had just really seems to need to be done, just to say I met the goal. Then Kevin really wants me to take it to the standing mile so we can try to break 200 mph with it, so we may give that a shot. I'd love to have an official 200 mph slip!
Right now we have this goal.
I don't even know if I can truly ever enjoy the car if it doesn't break into the 8's.

Dave....don't forget about the AERO goodies. I know you have your under tray front and rear, but what about some easily removable covers for the front outer bumper holes? Heck, every little bit helps.
I wish I were home to see this thing first hand. Maybe when my tour in the land of sand is over, we can meet up on the autoX track.
Good luck friend.

The holes in my fascia have been blocked off for a long time Paul, They are not the UGLY flush type, I hate that look. I've done other small changes in the aero department, never did a thread because they aren't something I want to build though. Since it's going to be asked about now.....I built some stainless braces/supports that run bend the fascia that pull the fascia from the bottom up tight against the bottom of the headlights. Small change but I think an important one. It would be a difficult part to duplicate, not going to even attempt it.
Have a safe tour!

OOOFFTTTTTT respect... thats all ive got to say champion.
1. you aint willing to sacrifice any low or mid range power to hit a goal of running 8s. - respect
2. keeping it in full street trim - respect.
3. youve got a sound system in a potential 8 second car - respect.
4. you track it on the circuit in a potential 8 second car - RESPECT
holy ****... this sets a new bar in performance world wide imho... in Australia the majority of the cars are either focused on drag or circuit. you will never see a street car that does well in the drag with low to mid range power, most of them LAG ALOT. Also the majority of them cant even take a corner faster than a standard evo... theyve sacrificed that much to get a 'fast' 1/4 mile time.
youve done an awesome job, if only we had someone similar to your caliber in Australia.
PS. are you using e85 or aquamist?

You thought about bumping up the compression to say 10.5 or even 11 to 1 and run e85. The increase in compression will certainly help keep your torque numbers up. Hell, this could be the wave of the future. I am willing to bet you could go as high as 12 to 1 and still run ok.
No one has really played with the idea of more compression with e85. As knock resistant as it is, we have a diamond in the rough as far as building low end torque.
Oh and so far....the "tour" sucks.

I'm running E98 actually, I was on E85, then started mixing my own from E98 and then just started using it straight. We did a bunch of dyno testing and the difference from E75, to E85 and then to E98 was less than 30 whp. It's convenient for me to run the E98 now because I have it in a drum. I also will start making my own (moonshine) as soon as I get this new barn built I am working on.
Appauld, been there done that with compression ratio.
