Looks like poor workmanship...

Usually Megan Racing's O2 housing are pretty good.

However - as long as the welds on the outside are OK and the two ports are separated you should be fine.

Still - you just got it, if I were I would think about contacting Megan Racing and see what they say.

Contact Megan and see what they can do for you. I dont think that is normal. Maybe that area didnt get a good enough weld.

Yes - it defeats the purpose of having a twin scroll turbo then.

I would try to either get a refund or a replacement.

If you get a refund, do yourself a favor and get the Invidia O2 housing.

It does, but it's easy. All you have to do is extend the wires. A nice wire crimper, and some wire and some shrink wrap (or electrical tape) and your golden.

Once you see the size difference between the two, you will wonder why you even looked at the Megan.

i dont know i think i might just keep it and weld that little gap, btw how strong can jb weld be, will it withstand the hot exhaust, i just dont want to go through returning it for a gap that can be welded easily, the gap is prolly 3mm so its not that bad

JB weld is good stuff. Off the top of my head not sure of the heat rating.

Nothing bad will happen if it starts to chip since its post turbo (maybe if you have CAT you will see an issue of it clogging).

Try it - nice easy cheap solution.

What does an o2 housing have to do with a twin scroll turbo? all it does is route spent gases away. The only time you should be concerned with a twin scroll setup is with the runners and collector, as well as the turbine. Anything after is spent in regards to the scroll.

If that were true - then why are they separated in the O2 housing? Yes, I understand what you are saying. However, This has been talked about and covered a bunch of times. Maybe I'm thinking of something different - like the MAP O2 elim and the flapper, I don't know...it's late...headed to bed.

It's one of the few, if not the only o2 housings that has the split. The turbine itself has a single outlet for the exhaust and an outlet for the wastegate. It's not split on the exhaust outlet of the turbine. The gases are spent and released.
