Bossting much?
hi everyone, im new to the evo community. i purchased a 2010 Evo SE with the SST. i installed a defi bf series boost gauge and earlier to the i was doing some high way driving from 6th gear i down shifted to 5th and my boost went up to 21psi and on the way back home i tried doing the same thing again and it was up to 23? is my car boosting much and something is wrong with it? car has no mods and has 350 miles

OP: Me thinks that you should´ve posted this on the Evo X forums. But to answer your question, sometimes these boost variances which you are describing to us can be attributed to colder ambient air temperatures. Has the weather changed to frostier in your neck of the woods?
At any rate, the boost levels which you have mentioned don´t seem that far out. In the winter it is normal for boost levels to be 2-3 PSI higher than they were during the hotter summer months. This should be fine with 93 octane premium pump gasoline.
