What is the consequence for not Breaking In enough?

Hi,
i just wonder what will be the consequence by tuning the car on dyno for not breaking in enough mileage?

Currently i have clock about 1,000km and service twice.

Can i send my ride for dyno tune? As ive drive my ride daily.

Thanks

My last fresh motor was driven 70 miles to the tuner, strapped to the dyno and given hell. Didnt burn oil, had great compression and ran great. If you take it too easy it will suck down oil. Rings need boost to seal.

+1^ a friend of mine with a supra mkiv had his engine built and went against the grain and did a slow breakin with a way rich breakin map to the point that fuel was in the oil pan which is to my knowledge cylinder washout! Then he start burning oil. I guess the rings didn't seat right.

Washing out the cylinders is never a good idea on a fresh motor.

Any improperly broken in motor will experience heavy blow by, low compression which both result in a loss of power.

That's probally why on e85 with a hypertune intake manifold 280 cams, head work he made the same power that he made on 93oct. And at the same boost level.

Btw, does anyone knows what is the healthy Compression for an 85.5mm pistons?
Will do a compression test prior my dyno tune...

Think about how many of the top shops build a motor and then tune it right away. When I had my motor built I had asked David about engine break in and he told me that the dyny tuning was the break in.

^^ The bore of the pistons shouldn't change the compression numbers, only the CR of the pistons will.

Boost will not seat rings either, vacuum is what seats rings. don't boost the **** out of a new motor, but don't baby it either, do vacuum pulls for the first ~20 miles and you are good to go, then get the thing tuned. Best way to do the vacuum pulls is on the dyno though.
