Adjustable shock/struts?

I'm having a hard time trying to find adjustable shocks/struts for this car. No, not coilovers but just shocks and struts that can use lowering springs. I was able to find Ohlins but they only came bundled with Works springs or something. Is there any other company out there where I can just get the shocks or anywhere where I can just get Ohlin shocks or will I have to suck it up and buy the kit? Also, will Ohlins fit stock top mounts?

Fixed perch Ohlins struts

I purchased the fixed perch Ohlins struts from Works. At the time, they were advertised to come with Swift sports springs but after constant stalling I was told "the swift springs don't fit." I got impatient and had them ship the struts with the springs which are originally included by Ohlins which were yellow Eibach springs. They dropped the car about 1" F/R and I emailed Ohlins USA about spring rates but never got a response. I also couldn't find other dealers that sold the fixed perch struts separately. The struts do reuse the stock top hats. If you end up purchasing from Works, I recommend you don't pay to have the struts preassembled because what I thought would be a simple strut swap turned into much more .

Same deal here... bought my car recently and I can't find an adjustable shock without the full coilover kit for $1600.

With my Cobra I bought one of the better street adjustable shocks for $565 shipped. (Tokico D-Specs).

I got the Evo and wanted to throw new shocks/struts since they are normally cheap and I do the labor myself.... except this time it's not even close to cheap.

How did they not fit may I ask? I really want to use my Swift springs with Ohlins but if it won't fit, I don't think I'll be buying Ohlins.

Now that I know my top mounts will fit, how about Works Stage I Ohlins? Aren't they just fixed perch struts with Swift Spec-R springs?

I put the statement from Works in quotes because this was nothing but an excuse by Works who was unable to deliver their product as advertised. Seeing how the Ohlins fixed perch struts are direct replacements for the OE struts, along with reusing the stock top hats, they're both dimensionally congruent and therefore if Swift springs fit stock struts, they should fit the Ohlins as well. Also don't forget the fact that they were already advertised to come with Swifts in the first place. I'm not sure how the Swift springs sit in the strut uncompressed but if the same employee who assembled the struts was the same person who gave me the above statement, then it's really no surprise because both were wrong.

It's funny but now that I read their description carefully, it's a bit confusing. This is a direct quote:

"Now get the best of both worlds with an OEM-style damper featuring the Swift springs and Öhlins shock absorbers. A direct factory replacement for your EVO that offers 25 levels of single-adjustable damping and properly matched WORKS Ride springs."

So which is it? In my case I did not get the Swift springs although this was what was offered originally to me over the phone until said excuse. If you're really set on these shocks(which I'm happy with), you should contact Works and have them clarify. I'm curious to see if the Swift springs will magically fit for you.
